Mombasa Awards 2016

Based on the list of performances by Dazlah,Dabz ,Tsunami Dancers  and more plus mixes from Dj Electrick and Dj Anam and host MC Tucker,this is expected to be one of the best if not the best award show Mombasa has had this year.

We have had several award shows year in,year out but speaking to the CEO Douglas Nyange, he assured me that this first edition of Mombasa Awards is going to be unique.

He added that the organizers are working round the clock to deliver a great memorable show for Mombasa. They’ve ensured they have transparency from their nomination criteria to the online voting platforms with 13 award categories.

Susumila set to release a new song in August featuring Avril. He is nominated in the Best Male Artist Category

Mombasa Awards 2016 is also giving upcoming artists a chance to showcase their work hence naturing talent at the same time recognizing the big names that have been there and greatly influenced the entertainment industry.

Tiger Fitness Centre goes all out in recent boot camp

They showed up energized for the day’s activities at Baptist High School, a walking distance from where Tiger Fitness Centre is located in Tudor, Mombasa.

The instructors, Felix and Blade, made sure they kept the team busy with various forms of exercises, from pushing and flipping tyres, to sprints, jumping jacks, squats with weights, push ups and many more.

The team, including Chemu, Marcika, Carol, David, Sally, Ruth  among others brought their A-game and pushed themselves hard for the 4 hours that the whole event was set.

Saddam, the photographer had a great time watching the team, mostly ladies in beast mode as he snapped away.

Speaking to the manager Ahmed alias Kayde, he said that boot camps are great and should be included in fitness to gauge one’s endurance and fitness levels plus its a good environment change from the usual gym set up so it eventually gives a refreshing feeling.

The team alias Tiger family finished with some aqua-zumba and finally a relaxing swim at the pool.

Tiger family members were very happy with the whole experience and are looking forward to the next one.

Mombasa Roots Band’s new gid

Club Hypnotica is well known as the perfect club scene, great set up, decor,bar, nice Deejay booth, wide range of drinks and great music.

Sadaf Deen, Women Rep. Aspirant speaks out

Following the recent news that hit the nation about some criminal youth robbing and terrorizing women and even sucking their breasts,the young Mombasa women rep. aspirant spoke out and condemned those actions against women.

It has been reported that some youth around Kisauni area, Mombasa,have been robbing women and in the event one has no valuables,the youth as young as 12 years old would suck their breasts.

Sadaf Deen called out to Hon. Bedzimba, Kisauni Mp to ensure the perpetrators were caught and justice served.

She added that women rights should not be violated.

Kisauni and Mombasa residents are yet to hear of any arrests made and actions taken to ensure security is enhanced and women rights protected.

Nyota Ndogo set to release new single

Make a date,tomorrow Friday 8th July is the official release of Nyota Ndogo’s new single ‘Subira Yangu’.

The award winning artist has done hits like ‘Watu na Viatu’ from back in the day and has kept entertaining us over the years. She is one of the few female artists in the Coast who have been consistent in their music career.

The beautiful singer from the Coast recently made headlines after getting married to her white husband in a private intimate wedding.

We can’t help but wonder if the song has anything to do with her current status and we can’t wait to find out.

She is also very outspoken and shares her opinions via social media on matters concerning relationships, politics and many more. You can follow her on social media platforms to know what she is all about.
